ACTIVITIES
Kaiser Permanente: Area Services Chief of Complementary Medicine:
promoted collaboration between Kaiser Permanente primary and specialty care services with complementary medicine modalities:
-initiated collaboration with Gynecology department providing urge incontinence treatment (posterior tibial nerve stimulation or PTNS)
-initiated collaboration with Obstetrics for expedited access to moxibustion resources for breech fetal presentation at 36 weeks gestation.
-Taught “introduction to acupuncture” as part of 8 class series offered to chronic pain patients enrolled in multispecialty Integrated Pain Service (IPS) in addition to weekly chart reviews as part of IPS
-Promoted collaboration with Chemical Dependency regarding NADA Auricular Detoxification acupuncture protocol.
-2017-2019 Taught “introduction to acupuncture” as part of 8 class series offered to chronic pain patients enrolled in multispecialty Integrated Pain Service (IPS) in addition to weekly chart reviews as part of IPS.
